Location analysis

Gongsa temple is located on jiaji'an nigaboo hillside, 9 km west of Zhiduo County, Yushu prefecture, Qinghai Province, with an altitude of 4300 meters.

History and culture

In the 12th century, the founder of bagagu school, badamawangxiu, was founded by Qiu jieci, a disciple of badamawangxiu.

The second qiujiesuonanzaba expanded the temple and converted it to Zhigong Kagyu sect.

In the 15th century, angwangluoyingjiacuo changed the temple into a Gelug temple.

In 1981, the temple moved from the old site of naobuwang River in the north of Zhiduo county to the new site.

Uniqueness

Gongsa temple is the only ancient temple in the "Three River source" area, which is the most famous in the world. The ancient temple complex with a history of more than 800 years ago contains many different styles, including early architectural sites and medium-term architectural foundation, which has certain uniqueness.

1. Site restrictions: the building area is 420 M2 (28m * 15m), the land depression is about 3M, the building has four floors, plus a basement, there should be enough distance around the building, ventilation and lighting, the Tibetan carving style, flat roof, few windows.

2. Style requirements: use local materials, respect the long-standing Gelug culture, and inherit the architectural style of Gelug.
